Well done whoever prepared the case against Westminster Council. These guys need to learn that they’ve got to listen to the public before making decisions.

I was there at the demo this evening, 7th December. What a great one, I’m sure with the public inquiry that will be going on together with the EU investigation, WCC will be in very deep trouble.

I’m Dutch and have been watching what’s going on in London from Amsterdam. It’s amazing to see that all what these councillors are interested in is money. Whatever they do is financially driven. They seem to be prepared to quietly break the law to make money, this is just disgusting. I’ll be in London on Monday for work and will be attending your demo with a friend of mine who lives there. I’ll be his pillion passenger! You have my support!

I’m looking forward to the Partnerships in Parking meeting on Monday, I can’t wait to see Cllr Chalkleys face when he sees how many bikers have attended. And then of course in the evening there’s the big ride out protest in the City of Westminster where hundreds, if not thousands, of motorcycle and moped riders will ride through the streets of Westminster to protest about the bike parking fees. I’m so pleased that there are so many supporters out there that won’t let Westminster City Council get away with this tax on powered two wheelers. I’m sure other London councils will take note of the opposition to motorcycle bay parking charges and will think twice before trying to introduce a similar charging scheme.

I live in Canada and I am absolutely horrified by what this Westminster Council in London has been doing. They have absolutely no sense of environmental issues, they have no idea of how to address them. Frankly, the whole thing is absolutely shocking, and now they may end up facing legal action! A lot of people in Canada are following this very closely, and I have seen an article about it in the news.

I think WCC are getting into very deep trouble. Why not have scrapped the bike parking tax earlier and listened to the opposition, instead of putting themselves in this horrible position?

the sh*t is really hitting the fan now in Westminster Council, and it is only just starting !!
I hope they get what they deserve !
